If you are interested in commissioning a portrait, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.

The first stage in considering a commission is for us to meet and to discuss your idea, specifically the subject and style of portrait you have in mind. This would include referring to my existing works, identifying who the commission is for and considering where the commission would hang. This stage allows me to begin to get a feel for the sitter and how I might go about creating the painting.

The process of producing my portrait is simple and has been refined so not to take up much of my sitters’ time in the first sitting, usually two to three hours. This would see me make a preliminary study, committing to memory the emotions and presence of my sitters, in addition to using this time to explore a palette for the sitter in terms of skin tone, setting and the other elements that make up my portraiture. The portrait would be completed in my studio and with a second sitting if required.

My portraits take between four and eight weeks to complete and are priced on a case-by-case basis.

I look forward to hearing from you.
